Individuals are required to find suitable employment from an employer willing to support their application on their own. The Moose Jaw RCIP team does not assist individuals with finding employment.
If your employer is designated by the community to utilize the RCIP (or is willing to register), then your employer can submit an RCIP application for you while you are currently working for them. You do not need a “new” job offer. The RCIP can be used to retain someone in their current position or to fill a vacancy.
Pending funding, the RCIP program will be available until 2029.
If the NOC you are working is not listed in the priorities for Moose Jaw RCIP, then you are not eligible to apply through the program.
No. In order to be eligible to apply through the RCIP, both your NOC and the industry sector of the business you are working for must be prioritized.
Yes, you can apply for the RCIP from outside of Canada. All of the same eligibility requirements apply. Additionally, you need to prove you have the funds available to support yourself and your family in your transition to Canada.
The hourly rate of pay must meet or exceed the Canada Job Bank’s minimum wage requirement for the specific NOC and region of Canada you are applying through.
The time it takes to process an application depends on when the candidate applies and if the information contained in the application is accurate and complete. If an application is complete and is submitted on time to make the cut-off during a valid intake period, an answer is typically given within 6 weeks after submission.
