Thank-you for your interest in the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) in the Moose Jaw region. Moose Jaw is one of only 14 communities across Canada that has partnered with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to administer the program and strengthen our local economies and support workforce development.
As an employer-focused program, Moose Jaw RCIP will work closely with local businesses to identify labour force gaps, and address labour market needs and challenges within our community. By fostering economic immigration, the RCIP reinforces our position as an ideal destination for newcomers to live, work and thrive. Employers will be designated according to eligibility to fill vacancies that can’t be filled locally.
Please note: Unlike our previous pilot, the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP), the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) is employer driven.
This means that:
Candidates (foreign nationals) DO NOT apply directly to the Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce (or IRCC) for RCIP.
Candidates must secure an RCIP eligible job offer from an RCIP Designated Employer.
The employer submits candidate applications to the Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce ONLY once the employer has received “Designated Employer” status. The CANDIDATE DOES NOT apply to the Chamber directly.
